The History of Hawker Construction Limited
Mike Hawker founded the business following on from three generations of the Hawker family working in the construction industry.
When Mike started the business he had a vision of providing high quality building services to customers that required them. Taking on all aspects of a project and managing the delivery on their behalf. Mike had developed a wealth of construction knowledge and wanted to use that to provide a complete service for project delivery, that all his clients would value and recommend.
Mike was a firm believer in his construction expertise and the fact that the best advertising would be recommendations from clients and how the public viewed his projects. By setting these high standards Mike was confident his business would be a success. He worked for over 30 years as a sole trader before finally incorporating the business in 2007 as M Hawker Builders Limited
The business delivered high quality services and was winning repeat businesses from residential architects, estates management companies and local authorities.
The business then used to primarily employ skilled operatives and craftsman to deliver the high quality of workmanship expected from a Hawker project

The business today has developed considerably through the same method of delivering high quality services and as a business we still value customer satisfaction at the forefront of our business.
Our beginnings saw the company working primarily in the residential sector carrying out new builds, barn conversions, extensions and refurbishments delivered by its team of highly skilled operatives.
We still have highly skilled operatives but we now operate as a principal contractor with a national supply chain of trusted partners and suppliers that we have worked with over many years.
We have developed our team of management staff to ensure we are able to plan our projects and manage our supply chain to ensure project success, whilst still maintain the business work ethic.
We still carry out residential projects although these are larger scale with the majority of our work being in the education sector. As a principle contractor we focus on all aspects of a project, taking on planning, design, delivery and aftercare.
